Becoming an affiliate

Can I be in any country and be part of the RedBalloon Affiliate Program?

You can be anywhere in the world and be a Redballoon affiliate. Signing up with clixGalore does not require you to have an ABN or be registered for GST.

Can I change my RedBalloon Affiliate details?

Once you become a clixGalore Affiliate you will be given online access to to change / update your details.

Do I earn fees on bookings I make myself?

Yes, you will earn commission in the same way that you would if your customer had made the purchase, as long as you have clicked through to our sites from the affiliate links provided.

Do I need to check/update any product links?

We advise that you reguarly check (and if appropriate update) your affiliate product links.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. It is FREE to become a member of the RedBalloon Affiliate Program through clixGalore.

How can I keep track of the fees I've earned?

As an affiliate you will be allocated a unique identifier, which will be attached to any of the RedBalloon banners or links that you place on your site. Each time a user on your website clicks through on one of these and makes a purchase, the identifier will register information about the purchase that was made. You will be able to view your accrued commission under your affiliate account.

How does the bonus scheme work?

The sales commission level is set at 5%.  However, you can earn additional commission each month depending on the level of sales you reach during that month. Based on the sales targets below, you will receive the increased commission on any sales at and above the target sale amount.

Sales target commission rates will be applicable only to the sales confirmed in the current calendar month, then reset back to their original rate at the start of each new month.

How much and how often do I get paid?

We will pay you a fee of at least 5% of the gross retail price (excluding transaction fees) for any RedBalloon sales that you generate through your website.

clixGalore has a monthly Affiliate commission pay schedule and commissions are paid when an Affiliate program balance reaches US$50 or AUD$100 or UK£35 or €60 or NZ$110. clixGalore processes commission earnings for each currency separately. Commission earnings in different currencies are not combined. Affiliate program balances are not combined. To qualify for a payment, the Affiliate program balance for the respective currency must be equal or greater than the payment threshold for the respective currency.

How will I know I've been accepted into the RedBalloon Affiliate Program?

You will receive an email within 72 hours confirming whether we have accepted your application. RedBalloon reserves the right to accept or reject applications for the RedBalloon Affiliate program or revoke an existing membership at any time.

I don't have a website. Can I still be a RedBalloon Affiliate?

No. You must have a website so that RedBalloon products and activites can be displayed. If you have any questions about this, please email affiliate@redballoon.com.au

I have more than one website. Do I need to apply to the program separately for each site?

No. You only need to apply once. You can add additional sites in your affiliate account once your application has been accepted.

Yes you can participate in other affiliate programs.

What about cancellations?

If a customer cancels a booking, or if credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will be reversed for any fees earned or paid on that booking.

You can link through to RedBalloon using any of the banners, finders or links available. However, you must not alter or manipulate any information or creative provided.

We will provide you with the tools and support you need to maximize RedBalloon purchases through your website.

We take care of purchasing issues, sales fulfillment, customer service, tracking of sales and commission payments.

What is a gift/activity finder?

As well as banners ad buttons we also have gift and activity finders. These contain drop-down menus which allow your customers to select the state, price range and category they would like to visit prior to clicking through from your site.

Where should I place the links / product pages on my website?

Ultimately it is your choice! You are free to decide where and how many links, banners and buttons to display on your site.

The more prominence you provide for the RedBalloon links the more likely you are to increase your sales.

What are the minimum requirements for this website?

Almost all modern computers should be able to use this website. It has been tested on PC, Mac and Linux systems.

The main requirement is that you have Adobe Flash installed.
